あでやかに金で描いたかすみと桜
ほのぼのとした絵付が特徴の陶工房「ブライトストーン」の「桜シリーズ」は、京焼の伝統的な仁清生地と呼ばれる土に、手描きで桜を散らしたもの。あたたかで軽い風合いの土の上に金たたきという手法で、うっすらと金色のかすみが描かれている。同じ絵柄で、くみだし、煎茶セット、飯椀なども展開している。白磁に桜を描いたシリーズもある。
A bewitching depiction of hazy cherry blossoms applied in gold to clay with a warm feel.
Handpainted cherry blossoms have been scattered over the legendary Kyo Yaki clay known as Ninsei potter's clay to create this cup and saucer of the “bright-stone cherry blossom series” in a warm design characteristic of the Toujiki studio. The method of “beaten gold” has been used to apply a faint golden mist over the warm and light-feeling clay. Ladles, rice-bowls, and sen-cha tea-sets bearing the same pattern have also been developed. A series featuring cherry blossoms painted onto white porcelain is also available.
