陶芸家・北村賀善が青一色で器に描く染付は、繊細な蛸唐草、祥瑞、シャープな竹、生き生きとした鶉など幾何学から写実的な動植物まで幅広い。成型も繊細で、皿はロクロをひいたあと型抜きして内縁に優美な曲線を作り出している。酒器から大皿まで一人であらゆる器を手がけ、ショールームではその幅広い世界を見学することができる。

The designs on this finely sculpted porcelain are exclusively in blue and are as delicate as paintings.

Ceramic artist Kitamura Gazen’s depictions include xiangrui patterns, delicate octopus arabesque, sharp bamboo and lively quails; and range from realistic still-life to the abstract. The casting is also very delicate, with the plates being fired after being taken off the potter’s wheel which produces a beautiful curved rim. You can come and watch a large range of pieces, from sake cups to large plates, being produced one by one by the hand of Kitamura Gazen.
